Description:

Open to all ages. Whether you are experienced, or a first-time angler, come on out and catch some fish with us! We have the poles and the worms, and a fishing license is not required while on state park property.

Fishing with a Ranger is a fun outdoor activity that will introduce kids and families to fishing in a hands-on learning environment.

Learn knot-tying, fish identification, proper casting techniques with our Backyard Bass game, and have a chance to catch real fish in the Blanco River! Join us on September 21st at 9:30 am near the 281 bridge for a fun morning of fishing!

We have a limited number of cane poles, so feel to bring your own or more modern fishing gear.

FREE with paid park admission, which is $5 per person ages 13 and over. Kids 12 and younger are free. Free admission with Texas State Parks Pass.
