Symphony Square consists of a picturesque outdoor theater, including a museum, with bordering restaurant and bar. On summer evenings a variety of local artists perform, usually musicians, to enthusiastic family audiences.

Waller Creek flows between the performers and the audience; its limestone construction suggests a medieval moat. The trail north and south along Waller Creek is wonderful for exploring.

The Austin Symphony hosts Children’s Day Art Park every Wednesday morning in June and July for youngsters from pre-school through age nine. Children’s Day Art Park features performances by local entertainers, an Instrument “Petting Zoo,” storytelling and arts activities under a large tent next to the Doyle House.
