Due to flash flood warnings we have decided to reschedule the YKP Open Preseve Day.

Saturday December 15th, Pines & Prairies Land Trust (PPLT) is opening Yegua Knobs Preserve to the public for an Open Preserve Day! This preserve is usually access with prior approval by PPLT as it is habitat for the endangered Houston Toad and a natural bog spring.

Come explore unique habitats such as the intriguing geology of the knobbs, rare plants and a spring fed bog. PPLT has partnered with USFWS and the US Forest Service to conduct habitat restoration on site, including prescribed burns.

You are welcome to drop by the preserve between 8:00am and 2:00pm to hike, wildlife watch, picnic and explore.

Please bring water as we have NO water on site.
