Discover the secrets behind the wondrous Pedernales Falls!

Geology is a science that gives us stories from the past, and helps us predict what the future may look like! Join Ranger Steve as we explore not only the recent past, and how Pedernales Falls has formed, but also the ancient past, with creatures that lived here 300 million years ago!

- Meet at the Main Falls Overlook to join. 

- For guaranteed entrance to the park during our busiest days, purchase your day pass online! Go to our website for more information. Don't get turned away at the gate!

- Wear comfortable hiking clothing for the weather! Hike will be about 1/2 a mile through some rough terrain. (Optional after the presentation)

- Child and dog friendly (Dogs must be on leash at all times in the park)

- Normal Entrance fees required to enter the park, no additional fees to attend this event.

- After the event you will be let loose at the Falls, if you intend to hike further be sure to bring water/snacks with you in the summer heat!
