SPECIALTY CAMP WEEKLY THEMES (Ages 13-14)
ADVANCED CAVING (June 11-14, July 9-12, August 13-16)
Are you fascinated by geology and the amazing creatures living in the Austin underground? If so, this camp is for you! Come observe cave formations up close as we explore wild caves around Austin, including newly discovered caves and old favorites.
BIKE-TASTIC (July 1-5, July 30-August 2)
Wheels down! Learn how to maintain your bike with Yellow Bike Project and explore urban trails around Austin. Take your bike on a campout to McKinney Falls State Park and test your skills on natural terrain. Bikes and helmets are provided or campers may bring their own.Campers must be able to ride a bike with their camp group for 5 miles without assistance.
OUTDOOR JOBS (June 18-21, July 16-19)
Learn more about jobs that work closely with nature in this new camp. Climb high in a tree with arborists from the City of Austin Parks Forestry Unit to see how they do their job. Meet with City of Austin Park Rangers to learn about working in the parks before heading on a campout at Bamberger Ranch.
YOUTH CLIMBING (June 25-28, July 23-26, August 6-9)
See the world from above while exploring climbing spots around Austin. Learn basic techniques and practice your skills on man-made climbing walls and limestone crags at Reimer’s Ranch and the Barton Creek greenbelt. All equipment provided.
