Nestled off the beaten track in northwest Austin's Canyon Creek Neighborhood, Trailhead Park is owned and operated by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department and open to the public. This 13.64 acre park features a wide array of amenities including soccer fields, a basketball court, a horseshoe pit, a large recently-upgraded playground with nearby swingset, and plenty of open space for children and families to play. There are picnic tables spread througout the park as well as open grills and a picnic pavilion (with restrooms) that can be reserved by contacting the City at reservations@austintexas.gov or 512-974-6797. Aptly named, the park's trails link into an extensive system of hiking and mountain biking trails that offer miles of additional exploration and wildlife viewing.
