Who’s blooming in Lockhart State Park this time of year? Hike with us to find out!
Even though spring is still a few weeks away, trees and flowers are already blooming in Lockhart State Park! Join a Master Naturalists to find out what’s what and who’s who in this alphabetical adventure!
Prepare: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring water and apply sunscreen or bug repellent, as needed. No registration required.
Meet: Meet your guide at the Hilltop Trailhead. If driving from park headquarters, take your first left-hand turn, pass the campgrounds, and park along the paved loop.
Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult and free for children 12 & under).
This hike is part of the Wild Walk Adventure series, which includes a guided nature hike at 10:00 am every Saturday from March 4 to June 3. The Wild Walk Adventure series is brought to you by the Lost Pines Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists volunteer organization (click here to learn more) in partnership with Lockhart State Park.
