The mission of Pines and Prairies Land Trust is to protect natural and cultural resources and promote sustainable agriculture through education and preservation of open space in Central Texas.

Pines and Prairies works with private landowners to preserve their land and owns three nature preserves of its own. PPLT hosts nature classes at the Colorado River Refuge in the spring and fall for students and invites neighbors and friends to volunteer work days on the preserves.
