Join staff from our local library and a Park Ranger to sing, read, and craft in the park!

Discover great picture books and fun activities for kids ages 2 to 5 years old at PreSchool Storytime in the park!  This program is brought to you by the Dr. Eugene Clark Library in partnership with Lockhart State Park.  It is completely free for all attendees.

Prepare: Dress for being outside (sturdy shoes and layers recommended), apply sunscreen or bug repellent as needed, and bring water. No registration required.

Meet: In the picnic area of the park. If driving from park HQ, pass the pool and take your first right-hand turn into the picnic area parking lot. For this program (and this program only), you do not need to check-in to the park to attend the program. Feel free to bypass Park HQ and head straight to our meeting location. A ranger will meet you there to provide a permit for your vehicle.

Fees: Lockhart State Park is waiving all park entrance fees (normally $3/adult, free for children 12 & under) for attendees of this program.

Weather: If the weather forecast is calling for rain on the day of our program, staff may choose to move the program back to the library. If you give your cell phone number to Mrs. Briana (bsager@lockhart-tx.org) at the Dr. Eugene Clark Library, then you will receive a text message notifying you of any program changes by 5pm on the day before our scheduled Outdoor Storytime. Notice of any change in venue will also be posted here (as an edit to this event posting). Feel free to call the park at 512-398-3479 or the library 512-398-3223 with any questions.
