Sessom Creek Park is home to Sessom Creek which flows into the headwaters of the San Marcos River. It is home to a variety of flora and fauna including bamboo. Due to its invasiveness, the bamboo has been slowly eradicated by humans, along with chinaberry. New walking trails have been paved to allow for a more scenic and pleasant adventure through the park.
