Description:

Kids report Reed Park has great swings–shady, and with long, long chains for a good swoop. Children also love to explore the creek and nature trail.

Reed pool, because of its shallow waters and wading fountain pool, attracts mostly families with young kids

The short trail offers fun, historical points of interest. Near the start of the hike, just across the driveway stand the remains of Taylor's Lime Kiln, which was used in the 1800's to produce quick lime for making cement used for the construction of stone houses. Later in the hike the trail is a rail car system that was used to carry limestone material to the kiln.
