Description:

Park activities include an 18 acre disc golf course with an annual Labor Day tournament which benefits disc golf course maintenance and improvements. Additional ameneties include tennis courts; a basketball court; sand volleyball courts; a softball field; a multi-purpose field; and a 3 mile horse trail with corral for horse trailer parking.

Want to explore the creek?  Starting from the parking lot, take the trail south for a short downhill hike. Upstream of the dam, the creek is wide and deep, ideal for fishing, canoeing, or bird watching. Adventure awaits downstream of the dam, a perfect spot to encounter frogs, turtles, great blue herons, and enjoy a sense of tranquility in the city.

A model airplane field maintained by the Hill Country AeroModelers Club has built a facility and operates a mini-runway (complete with taxi aprons) at the park. The club has several instructors who help newcomers earn their "wings," a certification process in which pilots-in-training learn to maneuver their planes and fly them safely.

Volunteers have helped establish a wildflower meadow in the central area of the park.
