Join a park ranger or master naturalist for a hike to the summit of Enchanted Rock. Find out things like, "HOW OLD IS THAT ROCK?", "WHO LIVED HERE?", and more. Learn the flora and fauna, cultural and natural history, and "WHAT ARE THOSE POOLS?"

Come and enjoy a guided hike with a Park Ranger or Volunteer Naturalist for the 1/2 mile hike to the top (actually 6/10 of a mile).  Learn about the Vernal Pools, geology, Native American history at Enchanted Rock, flora, fauna, and folklore.

What should I bring?  Good, sturdy hiking boots or shoes. Drinking water.

Where do we meet?  Meet at the gazebo at the summit trail

What does it cost? The cost to get into the park is $7 per person age 13 and over.  Free for 12 and under.  The guided hike is FREE!

*The office does not open until 8:30 am. 

Is this hike difficult?  The trail is 0.6 miles up with a 425 foot elevation gain.  (1.2 miles round trip)  But don't worry....we take our time and provide a LOT of great information for participants.

Do I need a reservation?  No, Just show up at 9:00 am at the gazebo
