Learn how to volunteer with the buffalo soldiers and mentor youth in your area

Learn how to volunteer with the Buffalo Soldiers Program.  The Texas Parks and Wildlife Buffalo Soldiers program will be hosting a free training class for existing and new volunteers at the Buffalo Soldiers home office in Austin Tx.  During this free training session you will learn basic principles of interpretation and presenting historical programs with hands on activities.  If you have a love and passion for history, mentoring, or outdoor recreation this class is for you.  Come and take this free course, explore the collections and connect with some incredible people working in your community. 

Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  All cultural backgrounds are welcome as we teach a shared history on the frontier.
