Earn a Junior Ranger badge!

Hike, explore, and complete your Junior Ranger Journal with the help of a real Ranger!  Earn up to 3 badges!  Recommended for ages 6-12.

Prepare:  Dress for the weather (sturdy shoes and layers recommended).  Journals, pencils, and badges are provided.

Meet:  In the picnic area of the park.

Fees:  Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).

The Junior Ranger Journals and Explorer Packs are always available to borrow for FREE in Park headquarters!  You may earn badges at any time by competing a journal on your own.  Lockhart State Park is one of many parks that lend out Junior Ranger Journals and Junior Ranger Explorer Packs.  For more information on the Junior Ranger program, click here.
